Monthly Club Meetings

The society holds monthly club meetings on the third Saturday of each month. The meetings start at 7:30pm and will be held at the Science Lecture Auditorium on the LSU-Shreveport campus. The meetings are free and open to the public. Click here for a map to the LSUS campus.

Each meeting begins with a program on some aspects of astronomy and usually involves a video, powerpoint presentation, lecture, demonstration, etc. After the program a brief business meeting is held followed by refreshments and good fellowship.

NOTICE: The April meeting will be at the Observatory NOT LSUS, this month only.

December 16: Club-only Christmas party.

Occasionally the club meeting is replaced by a scheluled public star party or a club only observing session. The December meeting is usually devoted to a club only Christmas party.
