Telescopes on the Sidewalk
In addition to our scheduled star parties at the Shreveport Observatory, the SBAS will hold impromptu star gazing events around Shreveport and Bossier. We have in the past set up our telescopes at the Rose Garden, the Red River National Refuge, LSU Shreveport, and other places. This photo is from a 35th Hubble Anniversary Observing Challenge observing event at LSU Shreveport in March, 2025. 2025 was the 35th anniversary of the Hubble space telescope going into orbit.
